Dr. Rusty Gibson is a proud graduate of Ware County High School, class of 1974. He spent his college years at the University of Georgia from 1974 to 1982, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine. As a dedicated alumnus, he passionately supports the athletes of Ware County High School and stands firmly behind the University of Georgia Bulldogs. His commitment to these teams reflects his deep pride in their achievements and community spirit.
Leading Gibson Animal Clinic has always been his ultimate passion, a calling that fills his days with purpose and joy. He loves caring for his clients' pets, building strong relationships
with pet owners and nurturing a close-knit team of dedicated employees who share his passion.
When he's not at the clinic, he can be found managing Manor Cattle Company, where he raises yearlings in his spare time--he truly loves working with animals! Dr. Gibson is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GMA), and the South Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (SGVMA).
Dr. Gibson is an active member of Manor Methodist Church, where he enjoys teaching the adult Sunday School class. He also participates annually as an actor in the Manor Community Center’s Passion Play.
On a personal note, Dr. Gibson is a devoted family man. He recently faced the heartbreaking loss of his beloved wife, Terri, who passed away from cancer on November 5, 2023. He is lovingly cared for by his devoted mother-in-law, Monnie, who ensures he has everything he needs. He takes great pride in being the father of two wonderful children, Russ and Julie, and he also cherishes his two stepdaughters, Halie, and Kelli, adding to the warmth and love of his family. Dr. Gibson loves to spend time with his family and treasures every moment he shares with his seven amazing grandchildren.
