Prescriptions, Online Pharmacy Purchases, and Unused Medications

1. A veterinary-client-patient relationship has to be established for any medication that is not over-the-counter to be prescribed, dispensed, or refilled.

2. We recommend purchasing medications and parasiticides directly from Gibson Animal Clinic. Our distributors are not contracted to supply to online pharmacies or pet retail stores and only supply where a direct veterinary-client-patient relationship exists. Therefore, we cannot ensure that products purchased from online pharmacies and pet retail stores have been handled correctly or whether these products are legitimate or counterfeit. Consequently, we cannot guarantee that your pet will not experience an adverse effect or that the product will work as it should.

3. We cannot accept unused portions of dispensed prescription drugs for refund, except when these drugs are subject to a recall. This policy is for your protection and assures you that medications dispensed from our pharmacy have been handled safely unaltered manner.
